seagete製HDDのファームウェアアップ

こないだから騒がれているseagate製HDDのファームウェアトラブルの件。12月に1TBのディスクを買っていたので、
Webでシリアル番号のチェックを行うと黒と判定される。

ちなみにNetBSD/AMD64でシリアルを確認するにはOS付属のatactlまたはpkgsrcのsysutils/smartmontoolsでできる模様。

seagateのサイトからisoイメージをダウンロードし、すでに作業されたblogを参考にして作業実施。適用時間は30秒もかからず終了。

OSから確認するとファームウェアはSD15からSD1Bになりましたとさ。
